Want to expand your output? Optional upgrade kits add gold, silver, fluorescent (CMY), dye sublimation (CMYK), security, and clear toner options. Dye sublimation prints onto white 100% polyester or sublimation-coated materials in CMYK only, with no white overprint option in that mode. Simple Setup and Ongoing Care

Getting running is direct. Unpack and remove the orange security tape, prep and shake each cartridge, install them in your chosen configuration, then power on and connect. Install the ProRIP software from the included USB dongle, disabling or uninstalling antivirus software before installation (except Windows Defender), run the first-time setup, and match your print queue (CMYK, Underprint, or Overprint) to your physical cartridge layout. A Windows 10 or 11 PC is required to run the software, and the dongle must stay inserted whenever the program is running. An internet connection is needed for first-time setup, and .NET Framework may be required as a prerequisite. Once installed, the software also provides a ProRIP Help File and a Remote Support application to assist you.

Note that the printer is not compatible with Snapdragon processors. Keep the machine in its optimal environment, between 45% and 65% humidity and 50°F/10°C to 75°F/24°C.

Routine care is guided by on-screen prompts: replace toner cartridges and the waste toner bottle when notified, clean the toner density sensor, LD unit dust shield, and registration roller as needed, replace the fusing unit as needed, service the paper feed components after misfeeds, and run color registration if alignment drifts.
