Warranty & Product Safety

Every machine we sell carries the manufacturer's warranty, and it comes to you, not to us. You are the owner of record and the coverage is yours from the day you buy it.

What we add: we register it for you, we explain what is actually covered before you need it, and when something goes wrong you call us first.

719-396-5661 and info@veprintshop.com, 7am to 7pm Mountain, seven days a week.

Before you operate any of this equipment

This is industrial printing equipment. It uses high heat, chemical inks, fine powders, ultraviolet light, and in some cases lasers. None of it is dangerous when used properly. All of it can hurt you when it is not.

Lasers

Every laser machine we sell states its safety class on its product page. Check it before you buy, because a Class 1 enclosed machine and a Class 4 open beam machine are not the same purchase.

  • Class 4 machines can cause permanent eye injury from direct, reflected, or scattered light. They require laser safety eyewear rated for the specific wavelength, and that eyewear is not included with any machine we sell
  • Adding certain accessories can change a machine's class. The xTool P3 is Class 1 enclosed, but operating it with the Automatic Conveyor Feeder makes it Class 4, and no physical Class 4 label ships with the feeder
  • Never defeat an interlock or run a machine with a panel removed

If you are not sure what your setup requires, call us on 719-396-5661. We would rather spend ten minutes on eyewear than have this conversation afterwards.

Fumes, powder and ventilation

Vent your workspace. DTF curing, laser cutting and UV curing all release airborne material, and a spare room with the door shut is not ventilation.

DTF adhesive powder is a fine polymer powder. It is not classed as respirable, but keep it out of your eyes and off your skin, do not create clouds of it, and do not eat in the same space.

UV inks and UV DTF

Uncured UV ink is a skin sensitizer. This is the risk people underestimate. Repeated skin contact can produce an allergic reaction that does not go away, and once you are sensitized you may not be able to work with these inks at all.

Wear nitrile gloves when handling uncured ink. Wash exposed skin immediately. Do not use solvents to clean ink off your hands.

Heat presses and ovens

Platens run to 600F. Burns are the most common injury in this category by a wide margin. Assume every surface is hot, and give a press room to open.

Inks, solvents and cleaners

Keep them sealed, labelled, indoors, and away from heat and freezing. Wear gloves. Do not inhale vapour. Do not mix products from different brands or decant into unlabelled containers.

California Proposition 65

Some of the products we sell can expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Where that applies, the specific warning appears on that product's own page, which is where the law requires it and where you will find it. Read it before you buy, not after.

Safety Data Sheets

We will send you the SDS for any chemical product we sell, free, on request. Email info@veprintshop.com with the product name.

If you have employees you need these on file. That is an OSHA requirement on you as an employer, and we are not going to make you chase us for them.

Read this before you read anything else

On two of the brands we carry, your warranty has to be registered, and if it is not, it shrinks or disappears. Not in the fine print. In the actual terms.

Brand If it is not registered
UNINET / iColor You keep 90 days instead of one or two years
Procolored No printhead coverage at all

Most sellers do not mention this. We do it for you. It is a ten minute call after your machine lands, and it is the single most valuable thing we do after the sale.

What your machine is covered for

Brand Headline coverage Registration Clock starts
Geo Knight Heat platen lifetime, frame 5 years, controller 3 years, parts 1 year None needed Date of invoice
UNINET / iColor 1 to 2 years parts and labour by model after registration, 90 days without Within 30 days of receipt Your purchase date from us
xTool 12 months on main parts, but wearing parts and printheads are shorter None needed Date you receive it
Procolored 12 months on non ink contact parts, mainboard 6 months on single head and none on dual head, printheads 6 months after registration Required for printhead cover Date it ships
Impact Consumables only, assessed case by case. Replacement or store credit, never a cash refund None stated Not stated

These are limited warranties from the manufacturer. Full detail for your product, including what is not covered, is in the Warranty tab on that product's own page.

Two exclusions worth knowing before you buy

Dual head Procolored printers have no mainboard coverage

Procolored's warranty says it plainly: the mainboard on a dual head printer is not covered. That affects two machines we sell.

Machine Heads Mainboard
F8 Panda, F13 Panda, P13 Single 6 months
F13 Pro Panda Dual Not covered
VF13 Pro UV DTF Dual Not covered

We would rather you knew this before you spent the money than after a board fails. If mainboard coverage matters to you, call us on 719-396-5661 and we will talk through whether a single head machine does what you need. Sometimes it does.

Printheads are covered differently to everything else

A printhead is the most expensive part of most machines and the one most likely to fail. Nobody covers it for the full warranty term.

Brand Printhead coverage
Procolored 6 months, registration required, one replacement
xTool Apparel Printer 1 month, or 6 months if you pass their online maintenance test
Impact Not covered. Printheads are also non returnable

How you look after it matters more than the warranty does. Ask us about maintenance when we call. That conversation is free and it is worth more than the coverage.

Consumables are barely covered anywhere

Every manufacturer treats ink, film, powder, toner and media as dead on arrival only. If a sealed cartridge is faulty out of the box, that is covered. Nothing else is.

That is normal for the industry, and it is why we tell you: if something looks wrong when you open it, tell us that day. Full terms are in the Warranty tab on each product page.

Genuine supplies and your warranty

Some manufacturers state that using another brand's ink, film or powder affects coverage on ink contact parts. Where that is their position, we say so on the product page and quote them directly rather than paraphrasing.

We are an authorized reseller for every brand we carry. Supplies bought from us are genuine and come through the manufacturer's own channel, so buying consumables from us has no effect on your coverage. UNINET's warranty says so in as many words.

If you are thinking about switching to a cheaper third party consumable, call us first. We will tell you honestly what it does to your coverage on that specific machine. Sometimes the answer is not much. Sometimes it will cost you a printhead. We would rather have that conversation than process the claim.

What we do that the manufacturer does not

We register your warranty for you

About a week after your machine arrives we call you. We will have your serial number, we do the data entry while you are on the phone, and we walk you through exactly what you are covered for.

On UNINET machines this is the difference between 90 days and two years. The deadline is 30 days from delivery and almost nobody tells you it exists.

You call us first

You do not have to work out which manufacturer to chase or which number to ring. Call 719-396-5661 or email info@veprintshop.com and we will open the ticket, supply your invoice as proof of purchase, and stay on it.

What that means precisely, so it is not a vague promise: we respond within 1 hour between 7am and 7pm Mountain, seven days a week. We handle the paperwork, the proof of purchase, and the chasing.

What it does not mean: we are not a repair shop, we do not hold parts, and we cannot override the manufacturer's decision. On most brands the manufacturer makes the final call and we are your advocate, not the adjudicator.

We tell you what is not covered, before you buy

Everything on this page that looks unfavourable, including the dual head mainboards, the printhead terms and the registration deadlines, is here on purpose. You should know what you are buying.

When something goes wrong

  1. Call us on 719-396-5661. Do not ship anything anywhere first, because an unauthorized return can void your coverage
  2. Have your serial number ready, and your original invoice from us
  3. We open the claim with the manufacturer and stay involved
  4. Most brands want to troubleshoot remotely first. That is normal, and it resolves a lot of issues in an afternoon

Freight on a warranty repair differs by brand. Some cover both legs, most cover the return leg only. The Warranty tab on your product page says which.

Extended coverage

Two of our brands sell extended warranties, and there are deadlines on both:

  • xTool, up to 3 years total. Must be bought within 90 days of delivery
  • Procolored, up to 3 years total. Must be bought within 365 days of purchase

Ask us before those windows close. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for how you actually use the machine.

Warranty is separate from returns and from shipping damage. See our Return Policy for the return window, and our Shipping Policy for transit damage, which has a much shorter clock.
